Adrian Soleil is a Southern queer storyteller who works across photography, filmmaking, and creative direction, weaving together the threads of their heritage and experiences into compelling visual narratives. Their journey began in the rhythm of dance, but they soon found new ways to tell stories—with a camera in hand. What started in high school with a DSLR has blossomed into a deep passion for capturing life’s intimate, fleeting moments.
For Adrian, photography and filmmaking are more than technical crafts—they are expressions of connection. Through the lens, they explore the raw, genuine essence of people, places, and experiences. Each project becomes a collaboration, creating something personal, authentic, and resonant. Their work is about capturing more than just a moment; it’s about telling a story that is deeply felt.
Their film Mudbugs was featured in the New Orleans Film Festival (2022) and the first Pride Acadiana: Lafayette Queer Film Showcase (2022).
Their Film Dead 2 Me was featured in Southern Fried Queer Pride’s 2022 Cinequeer Film Night and Crescent City Film and Arts Festival 2020.
Their film Ladylike was featured in 2020 Female Filmmaker Festival and Crescent City Film and Arts Festival 2020.
